Content Policy

Important Notice
YouSnaps has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and content that sexually exploits minors. All such content is immediately removed and reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement authorities.
1. Overview
This Content Policy provides detailed information about the types of content prohibited on YouSnaps and our content moderation practices. This policy works in conjunction with our Terms of Service andCommunity Guidelines. By using YouSnaps, you agree to comply with this Content Policy.
2. Prohibited Content Categories
2.1 Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) - ZERO TOLERANCE
We have an absolute zero-tolerance policy for any content that sexually exploits or endangers children. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Any sexual imagery involving minors (under 18 years of age)
- Computer-generated or AI-generated sexual imagery depicting minors
- Content that sexualizes minors in any way
- Grooming content or conversations
- Links to external CSAM content
- Content promoting or normalizing sexual contact with minors
Enforcement: All CSAM is immediately removed and reported to NCMEC (National Center for Missing & Exploited Children) via CyberTipline and relevant law enforcement agencies. We preserve evidence as required by law.
2.2 Sexual & Explicit Adult Content
YouSnaps does not allow sexually explicit content. Prohibited content includes:
- Pornography and sexually explicit imagery or video
- Full nudity (visible genitalia, female nipples in sexual context)
- Sexual acts, real or simulated
- Content depicting or promoting sexual services
- Fetish content that is sexual in nature
- AI-generated or deepfake sexual content
Exception: Artistic, educational, or documentary content may be permitted on a case-by-case basis with appropriate context.
2.3 Non-Consensual Intimate Images (NCII)
We prohibit the sharing of intimate images without the subject's consent:
- "Revenge porn" or intimate images shared without consent
- Secretly captured intimate images (voyeurism)
- "Upskirt" or "downblouse" images
- Deepfake intimate imagery of real people
- Threats to share intimate images
- Sextortion content
2.4 Violence & Graphic Content
Content depicting extreme violence or intended to shock is prohibited:
- Gore, mutilation, or graphic injury
- Death or dying (except for newsworthy purposes with warning)
- Torture or extreme cruelty to humans
- Animal abuse, cruelty, or torture
- Content glorifying or promoting violence
- Snuff content or recordings of murder
- Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
2.5 Terrorism & Violent Extremism
We do not allow content that promotes or supports terrorist or extremist organizations:
- Terrorist propaganda or recruitment material
- Content glorifying terrorist attacks or mass violence
- Manifestos or other content from mass shooters/terrorists
- Content promoting designated terrorist organizations
- Instructions for carrying out attacks
- Content celebrating violence against civilians
We may report such content to law enforcement.
2.6 Hate Speech & Discrimination
Content that promotes hatred or discrimination based on protected characteristics:
- Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, national origin
- Religious discrimination or anti-religious extremism
- Gender-based hate or misogyny/misandry
- Anti-LGBTQ+ content
- Disability discrimination
- Hate symbols, Nazi imagery, or white supremacist content
- Dehumanizing language or comparisons
- Holocaust denial or genocide denial
2.7 Harassment & Bullying
Content designed to harass, intimidate, or bully individuals:
- Targeted harassment campaigns
- Cyberbullying content
- Doxxing (sharing private information without consent)
- Content encouraging others to harass someone
- Malicious content about private individuals
- Unwanted sexual attention or content
2.8 Privacy Violations
Content that violates others' privacy or shares personal information without consent:
- Private personal information (addresses, phone numbers, SSN, etc.)
- Financial information (bank accounts, credit cards)
- Medical records or health information
- Private photographs taken in spaces with reasonable expectation of privacy
- Private communications shared without consent
- Government ID documents
2.9 Illegal Content & Activities
Content depicting, promoting, or facilitating illegal activities:
- Drug sales or manufacturing instructions
- Weapons sales or trafficking
- Human trafficking
- Fraud, scams, or phishing schemes
- Counterfeit goods or documents
- Hacking tools, malware, or exploits
- Stolen property
- Content facilitating or documenting crimes
2.10 Intellectual Property Violations
Content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights:
- Copyrighted images, videos, or other media
- Trademark violations
- Pirated content
- Screenshots of paywalled content

2.11 Misinformation & Deceptive Content
Content designed to deceive or spread harmful misinformation:
- Manipulated media (deepfakes) presented as authentic
- Impersonation of real people or organizations
- Health misinformation that could cause harm
- Election misinformation
- Hoax content presented as real
2.12 Spam & Platform Manipulation
Behavior that abuses or manipulates our platform:
- Automated bulk uploads
- Malware or phishing links
- Attempts to bypass content moderation
- Coordinated inauthentic behavior
- Commercial spam
3. Content Moderation Process
3.1 Automated Scanning
All uploaded content is automatically scanned using:
- Hash matching: Content is compared against databases of known prohibited material (including PhotoDNA for CSAM)
- AI/ML detection: Machine learning models analyze content for nudity, violence, hate symbols, and other prohibited material
- Metadata analysis: File metadata is reviewed for indicators of prohibited content
3.2 Human Review
Content flagged by automated systems or user reports is reviewed by our Trust & Safety team:
- High-severity content (CSAM, terrorism) is prioritized for immediate review
- Reviewers are trained professionals who follow strict guidelines
- Ambiguous cases are escalated to senior reviewers
- We aim to complete reviews within 24-48 hours
3.3 User Reporting
Users can report content they believe violates our policies. Reports are reviewed and appropriate action is taken. We do not disclose the identity of reporters.
4. Enforcement Actions
When we identify policy violations, we may take the following actions:

5. Appeals Process
If you believe your content was incorrectly removed, you may appeal:
- Email appeals@yousnaps.com within 30 days of removal
- Include the original URL and explain why you believe the removal was in error
- Our team will review the appeal within 5-7 business days
- You will receive an email with our decision
Note: Appeals are not available for CSAM or content involving minors.
6. Legal Compliance
YouSnaps complies with applicable laws regarding content moderation:
- 18 U.S.C. 2258A: Mandatory reporting of CSAM to NCMEC
- DMCA: Copyright takedown procedures
- Law Enforcement Requests: We respond to valid legal process
- Evidence Preservation: We preserve content as required by law
